If you're not a sysadmin, don't get an unmanaged dedicated server! And try to find out if their support is on-site and local, or subcontracted, that makes a huge difference. Support is HUGE in choice of your server. There is a managed and unmanaged support. Unmanaged is just that, you break it,you fix it, or they can reload the OS for you. Managed means if you break it they will support you. Hell I have a managed vps box with Server Intellect and they hold my hand with the support which is nice if you don't or cant support the server yourself.
